His songs are literate and beautiful. He speaks with an inquisitive voice about things that matter to all of us: families, love, responsibility, tradition, and change. His songs simultaneously pull on our heartstrings and make us laugh.
Pierce is from north Alabama. He’s been writing and performing professionally for 30 years. He has five albums to his credit on his current label, Compass Records. He’s won a slew of awards, including a Country Music Award for songwriting and the New Folk competition for songwriting at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas.
His songs have been recorded by artists like Joan Baez, Dar Williams, Art Garfunkel, and Garth Brooks.
And he’s going to play for you in our living room. How cool is that?
